New Zealand Certificate in Meat Processing (Halal)

The purpose of this qualification is to provide competent employees for the meat processing sector who are able to work as Halal slaughtermen, under supervision.

The learner will benefit by having a qualification that will allow them to work competently as Halal slaughtermen, in basic positions in a meat processing operation. This qualification provides a training pathway that allows progression through the industry.

This qualification will ensure the establishment of standards of competent performance in Halal slaughter that can provide domestic and international markets with confidence that meat products have been processed in accordance with Shariah law

We support learners all the way from introductory programmes and our schools-based Trades Academy, through to apprenticeships and management diplomas.

We design training and assessment for the workplace, so employees can learn on the job while gaining real-world industry experience.
