About the course

The Diploma will develop computing professionals who can address the implementation and desktop support needs of customers operating in a variety of stand-alone and network operating system environments. The Diploma provides in-depth, hands-on training for Information Technology (IT) professionals responsible for the planning, implementation, management and support of operating systems. Graduates of the diploma will have covered all the content necessary to sit the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineering (MCSE) and Linux certifications.

Entry requirements

Applicants must have a total of 60 NCEA credits in best four subjects at level 2 or equivalent, at least two years appropriate work experience in the computing industry or have completed CompTIA, A+ and Network+ qualifications or can demonstrate competence equivalent to the above entry criteria which may be obtained through other appropriate qualifications, and meet the English language entry requirements.
