Diploma in Computer Systems and Network Administration

About the course

Graduates will be able to: assemble, install, and configure computers; configure multiple operating systems; repair and maintain computers; provide technical advice on computer hardware and peripherals; optimise computers for maximum performance, reliability and security; set up a personal computer in a local area network; demonstrate and apply introductory knowledge of open computer operating systems and intermediate knowledge of computer network engineering principles; demonstrate knowledge of and install wireless local area computer networks; and administer a local area computer network. They will also be able to undertake the external CompTIA A+ and Network+, and the Microsoft MCITP and MCTS certification examinations, and will have the knowledge and skills required for a wide range of computer network support/administration and related roles, or for advancement to further study at a higher level.
