Graduates are able to work independently in clinical practice having a diverse range of knowledge and skills in nutritional sciences and allied complementary therapies (Level 6) to a level that enables them to undertake evidenced knowledge-based roles in a variety of fields of both allopathic and complementary medicine.

The Naturopathic College of New Zealand upholds the principles of Te Whare Tapa Whā , the Māori model of health, which closely aligns to the principles of holistic healthcare. The Te Whare Tapa Whā model is an analogy for a person’s health. The four cornerstones (or walls) of the house represents different facets of our health – the mind, the body, the spirit and the family.
