About the course
The programme provides graduates with the skills and knowledge to: Explain the organisation and operation of the New Zealand financial services, industry investment and insurance markets and the appropriate products and services offered to customers in these sectors; Assess the benefits and risks in international trade and apply appropriate products, strategies and practices that minimise the risks and provide a means of financing international trade transactions; Apply the principles of good lending, using financial statements and reports to interpret business performance, and demonstrate skills in the granting, management and recovery of loans; Discuss contemporary management and marketing issues in the current banking industry.
Entry requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria: 1. Four credits at Level 2 (or higher) NCEA in EACH of Reading AND Writing PLUS 48 credits at level 2 NCEA with no fewer than 12 credits in each of four subjects OR 2. 6th Form Certificate.
