About the course

Graduates will have the knowledge and skills to be able to competently work as intermediate stylist within a commercial hairdressing salon. They will be able to display skills in colour selection and application commercial finishing, i.e hair-ups and blow drying, chemical texturising and basic cutting skills. The qualification can lead to study at a higher level or directly in to the workforce as an intermediate apprentice.

Entry requirements

Applicants must be a minimum of 16 years of age and have sufficient literacy and numeracy skills to succeed in obtaining this qualification. The must have completed and gained units in a full time certificate programme or the first year of an apprenticeship.
