National Diploma in Public Sector Compliance Management (Weights and Measures) (Level 6)

This qualification is for people who are planning a career or who are employed in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Measurement and Product Safety Service (MAPSS).

The qualification is structured to recognise the generic skills, knowledge, understanding, attitudes and values required to be a competent Inspector of Weights and Measures.

People who hold this qualification have the competence to undertake a broad range of legal metrology activities, and to carry out a mix of specialised operations involving a degree of self directed work.

This qualification can build on the National Certificate in Public Sector Services [Ref: 0714]. It can lead to the proposed National Diploma in Public Sector Services, and the specialist unit standards in this qualification will form one of the specialist electives in that diploma.
