Graduate Certificate of Christian Education

Graduates will have increased knowledge and understanding of the Biblical meta-narrative and patterns of thinking resulting in enhanced clarity as to the purpose of Christian Education in the context in which they are involved. The qualification can lead to further study within the Graduate Diploma of Christian Education and then on to postgraduate or masters level in the fields of education and Christian education.

In addition to the normal requirements for entry to the Institution (refer web-site) candidates must have a recognised degree in teaching or a recognised Diploma of Teaching with the ability to demonstrate equivalent practical, professional or education experience of an appropriate kind, and be involved in or have access to practice within a Christian educational setting and access to a computer with e-mail and internet facilities.

BTI is a not-for-profit organisation registered with the NZ Charities Commission.

Located in Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty, and accredited by NZQA with approval by Teaching Council of Aotearoa NZ and the Social Workers Registration Board, BTI is highly regarded by students, alumni, schools, early childhood centres, counselling and social work agencies for providing high quality biblically-based degrees and graduate diploma qualifications in teaching, counselling and social work.

BTI also offers postgraduate programmes in leadership, trauma-responsive therapy, trauma-informed leadership. Also available are micro-credential courses in responding to trauma with the option to stack them toward a postgraduate certificate.
