About the course
The graduate of this programme will have basic skills and general business knowledge, be able to work independently and in groups, while under general supervision, apply interpersonal and communication skills, and understand ethical and cultural issues in New Zealand and other countries' workplaces.
Entry requirements
Students less than 20 years old must have: - A minimum of 14 numeracy credits at level one or higher in Mathematics or Pangarau on the National Qualifications Framework - Fifty credits at level two or above with at least 12 credits in each of three subjects including a minimum of 8 literacy credits at level two or higher in English or Te Reo Maori; 4 credits must be in reading and 4 credits must be in writing. The literacy credits will be selected from a schedule of approved achievement standards and unit standards. - Or equivalent to both the above. International students where English is a second language must also have an IELTS score of 6.0 (academic) with no individual band lower than 5.5 or TOEFL score of 550.
About the provider
EMS is a Category 2 NZQA-registered and accredited provider based in Wellington, New Zealand. EMS also has a campus in San Francisco (family-owned), and therefore offers students the opportunity to study both in New Zealand and the United States.

EMS offers a range of sub-degree business programmes (New Zealand Certificate in Business - Level 4; New Zealand Diploma in Business - Levels 5 and 6), and also various NZ-government funded programmes for permanent residents and citizens (Intensive Literacy and Numeracy, Employment Placement Service).
