About the course

A graduate of the Diploma in Information Technology will: - Demonstrate effective application of a broad range of IT knowledge and skills for installation and support of PC and network systems and other IT services and facilities. - Have developed analytical abilities, technical knowledge and skills to analyse problems and devise solutions. - Be able to apply their technical skills and problems solving skills in a rapidly changing commercial environment, identifying linkages and implications of proposed solutions. - Have developed effective communication skills and interpersonal skills in dealing with both technical and non-technical clients. - Have the ability to work effectively as a member of a team. - Have a strong customer focus and service orientation. - Have an understanding of the role of information technology in the business environment. - Be adaptable, flexible, willing to learn, professionally "curious" and is able to assimilate new technologies and concepts. - Have a sounds technical understanding of computer systems and hardware infrastructure - Recognise and consider the relevant ethical dimensions inherent in information technology and business environments.
