HLC Certificate in Textile in Dyeing and Finishing Operations

About the course

On successful completion of this programme, graduates will have gained the knowledge and skills associated with processing fabric (in particular on stenter, raising and decatising machines) the dyeing of fabric (in particular using jet and winch dyeing machines), and safe working practices. This knowledge and skills will allow them to seek employment as a textile dyer and/or textile finisher. In addition, trainees will gain an HLC Certificate in Textile Dyeing and Finishing incorporating Unit Standards towards the National Certificate in Textile Dyeing and Finishing (Operations) (Level 2). HLC in conjunction with Levana Textiles Ltd will provide all graduates with a Certificate of Course Completion which identifies the Unit Standards achieved.

Entry requirements

Applicants should be 18 years of age or over and be registered as a Work and Income client. Applicants are required to have an ability in English language equivalent to competency in NCEA Level 2 (or School Certificate). Prospective trainees will be assessed in the first days of the course in Reading, Writing and Numeracy and will be required to achieve a minimum of Step 2 on the Learning Progressions, in order to successfully complete Unit Standard assessment expectations.
