About the course
This qualification recognises the skills and knowledge required to work within the construction industry as a professional solid plasterer. The certificate is designed for those wishing to work in the industry as solid plasterers, and provides a means of recognising current competency for those already in the industry.<br /><br />Holders of the qualification are able to successfully complete all core facets of work involved in solid plastering in the workplace. Qualification requirements include safe working practices in an ''on-site'' environment. Those wishing to further extend their qualification may add the optional strand in Specialist Mouldings and Decorative Work to the certificate.<br /><br />The Building and Construction Industry Training Organisation is responsible for a number of qualifications which have credits in common in the areas of health, safe working practices, scaffolding, and basic tool use. People may use these credits towards other building and construction sector qualifications.
