About the course
The National Certificate in Maori Performing Arts (Performance) (Level 4) [Ref: 0701] recognises the skills of an experienced performer in the area of Maori performing arts. The holder of the qualification is able to demonstrate the skills and knowledge of the disciplines of the Maori performing arts.
Three elective sections from Field Maori are included to recognise the range of skills held in high regard by the Maori Performing Arts community, to enable people to specialise in an area of Maori performance, as well as providing scope for the extension of knowledge and skills in the Maori performing arts.
The National Diploma in Maori Performing Arts (Tutoring) (Level 6) [Ref: 1088] provides a pathway for people to further the skills recognised in this qualification.
