Kaupapa Toimau Takaro: Certificate in Sports Leadership (Applied)

Upon successful completion of this programme tauira will be able to demonstrate their skills and understandings in their chosen sport. The desired outcome is to provide tauira with a more specific and professional understanding of the performance sports industry itself and the key factors supporting this industry. In particular: - Physical skill base - Self Management - Coaching/Leadership - Health and Safety Upon completion tauira will have an increased awareness of the application of these skills and understandings to their own growth and progression in te ao Maori (engagement in basic reo, karakia and waiata) and in their communities. Kaupapa Toimau Takaro: Certificate in Sports Leadership (Applied) can also lead to further education in and the practice of sport, fitness and health within their community.
