About the course
This programme is owned by Auckland Institute of Studies, and delivered at Elite Management School in Wellington. Graduates will be awarded the qualification by Auckland Institute of Studies.
Students in the Graduate Diploma in Tourism Management will have improved knowledge and sound managerial skills relevant to management positions in the tourism, travel, hospitality and airlines industries. The programme is intended to provide the equivalent of a major in a subject other than that in which the student has majored for their first degree.
Entry requirements
All applicants:
must hold a Bachelor degree (at least equivalent to New Zealand pass standard) awarded by a tertiary institution approved by the AIS Academic Board, or equivalent qualification. International students must:
have an IELTS proficiency level in Academic English at a 6.0 level with no band score lower than 5.5, OR, TOEFL iBT 60 (with a writing score of 20) PToE academic score of 50 AIS Test of English Proficiency (TEP) 52/80 (with no band less than 12) gain approval under Admission Regulation 3: Special Admission.

EMS is a Category 2 NZQA-registered and accredited provider based in Wellington, New Zealand. EMS also has a campus in San Francisco (family-owned), and therefore offers students the opportunity to study both in New Zealand and the United States.
We are based in the Wellington CBD at 76-86 Manners Street (04-801-9180).
EMS offers a range of sub-degree business programmes (New Zealand Certificate in Business - Level 4; New Zealand Diploma in Business - Levels 5 and 6), and also various NZ-government funded programmes for permanent residents and citizens (Intensive Literacy and Numeracy, Employment Placement Service).
