About the course
This certificate is an entry level qualification for people working for the New Zealand Customs Service as a Customs Officer and is designed to be achievable by a Customs Officer in their first work area.
The purpose of the qualification is to provide recognition for base level skills across roles in the New Zealand Customs Service.
The core component of the qualification recognises underpinning skills, knowledge, and competence expected of all Customs Officers.
The elective section of this qualification provides a degree of flexibility and allows for recognition of the diverse range of skills relevant to the range of border management activities carried out by the New Zealand Customs Service.
