National Certificate in Seafood Risk Management (Vessel Operations Compliance) (Level 6)

This qualification is for people who are responsible for the management of compliance requirements in seafood vessel operations. These people may include the skipper, vessel owner, or quota manager.

The qualification comprises an elective section which recognises the knowledge and skills of those people responsible for managing legislative compliance and corresponding systems in the workplace. Candidates may choose from standards that focus on managing the systems for legal compliance for seafood harvesting on a commercial fishing vessel, managing the systems for legal compliance for seafood processing on a commercial fishing vessel, and managing the Licensed Fish Receiver systems. It gives them the flexibility to choose the standards relevant to their own role in a seafood vessel operation.

This qualification builds on the National Certificate in Seafood Risk Management (Vessel Operations Compliance) (Level 5) [Ref: 1394].
