About the course

This qualification is for experienced crew who are actively working with legislative compliance for seafood vessel operations at a senior level.

The qualification comprises a compulsory section and an elective section. The compulsory section relates to: producing a Licensed Fish Receiver Return which includes producing purchase invoices, selecting and applying conversion factors to calculate green weight for landed fish; producing monthly returns, explaining the legal framework for production, and explaining the powers of Fishery Officers and rights of individuals when Fishery Officers interact with Licensed Fish Receivers. The elective section gives candidates the flexibility to choose standards relevant to their own role in the workplace and that build on the compulsory section.

This qualification builds on the National Certificate in Seafood Risk Management (Vessel Operations Compliance) (Level 4) [Ref: 1393], and can may lead on to the National Certificate in Seafood Risk Management (Vessel Operations Compliance) (Level 6) [Ref: 1395].
