Graduate Certificate in Professional Accountancy

The GCertProfAcc allows degree graduates to pursue a further body of study at an advanced undergraduate level. The GCertProfAcc aims to prepare graduates who can:
use accounting knowledge at an advanced level with an appreciation of current issues and debates in the field of accounting
meet the academic requirements for admission to a professional accounting body
carry out accounting work in accordance with relevant technical and professional standards
critically analyse and solve financial problems with a view to the wider implications for business
The programme aim for the GCertProfAcc is distinct from the aim of the GDipProfAcc in that the GDipProfAcc covers a more significant body of knowledge, and students have greater flexibility to develop additional skills and knowledge with the elective structure. Only in the GDipProfAcc programme do students have the option to select the Industry Based Learning course.
