About the course

Graduates from the Massey University Master of Sport Management degree programme will: * Have further developed their in-depth knowledge and skills in sport management, either through professional experience or professional educational programmes in areas related to sport management. * Have developed an understanding about the structure and essence of sport throughout New Zealand. * Have gained practical work experience in the sport industry in New Zealand. * Have gained exposure to sport industry professionals through in-class guest lectures, field trips, internships, and researching for assignments. * Have developed an international perspective on sport management. * Be able to work independently and in teams and to interact effectively with colleagues, clients and other professionals in the field. * Be practised in clearly and concisely communicating the findings of an investigation in oral and written form. *Have completed and presented a report on professional practice experience. A graduate of the Master of Sport Management with a class of Honours will be able to proceed to research master degrees, for research training, and thence to doctoral study.
