About the course
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the retail meat industry with people who can prepare and pack meat products for retail sale under limited supervision.

Graduates will understand food safety legislation relevant to the sale of meat products and will be able to contribute to efficiency and productivity in a butchery operation.
The qualification is designed for people who are employed in a retail meat operation as meat packers or assisting qualified butchers.
