About the course

Postgraduate Certificate in International Rural Development graduates will be able to contribute to knowledge, critically evaluate information and communicate effectively. They will be able to solve a range of both theoretical and practical problems and will have acquired the ability to work independently and with groups. Graduates will have an understanding of development processes, their application and their implications, particularly as they relate to areas of contextual focus (Agribusiness, Economics, Finance, Environmental Management, Tourism and Research Methods). Graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and skills required to address problems of poverty and sustainable development in rural communities through development policies, intervention strategies and institutional innovations.

Entry requirements

Entry is by completion of an undergraduate degree with a B average at 300 level.
