About the course
This qualification is suitable for people working in an infrastructure works environment, in a bitumen surfacing construction role, who already have the skills and knowledge required for the safe handling of bitumen.
As you work through this 19 month programme , you will learn how to assess and prepare a site for bitumen surfacing construction. Implement quality work processes on a bitumen surfacing construction worksite. Safely operate bitumen surfacing construction equipment and machinery. Assess a worksite for health and safety. Support and mentor a team onsite.
Entry requirements
It is recommended that you achieve the New Zealand
Certificate in Infrastructure Works (Level 3) or demonstrate
equivalent knowledge.
