National Certificate in Clothing manufacture (Basic Garment Assembly)(Level 3)

To provide a foundation of knowledge & skills for working at a beginning level in different areas of the local apparel production industry. Students will learn to maintain & operate industrial sewing machines, draft patterns, make samples, & to design, construct & model garments.

Sewtec Fashion Academy (formally DAS Training Solutions Ltd) is an NZQA registered, category two Independent Tertiary Institute founded in 2001. It was established to provide a high standard of practical, hands-on education.

In 2013 DAS re-branded itself as GÇÿSewtec Fashion Academy' in order to clearly define the educational focus of the Company. The two directors (pictured) come from a wide variety of backgrounds, but between them have over 20 years experience working in the NZ education field. The directors work in the business and are dedicated to upholding the excellent standard of education and friendliness Sewtec is known for.
