About the course

The courses (Samoan, Tongan, Fijian, Niuean and Cook Island Maori computing) aim to provide students with the opportunity to gain basic computing skills. Students will be introduced to, and develop skills in, using a networked computer. They will also become familiar with, and use, popular software packages. The courses also aim to encourage confidence and enjoyment in education for the participants and their families and to extend community acceptance of Participation and success at MIT as an effective strategy for increasing local educational achievement.
