About the course

Do you have a flair for food?

		The NZ Certificate in Cookery (Marae-based) introduces you to a career working in commercial kitchens. It develops initial skills and knowledge to work safely with the main food ingredients using basic preparation techniques and cookery methods, as part of a team. Practical learning will be at a local marae with possible master classes at the EIT | Te Pūkenga commercial production kitchens.

As a graduate from this programme you could go on to higher level catering and hospitality programmes. NOTE: You will be required to cook with and consume all types of meat. If you are vegetarian, or have a specialised diet, please talk to us before applying.
