About the course
- To acquire a range of academic skills that will open pathways to further tertiary study and equip citizens for life-long learning; 2. Build confidence and self-motivation in a positive, supportive environment that facilitates independent learning capabilities; 3. Provide students with a basic foundation of musical skills and techniques, and offer a preliminary understanding of history and contexts of music in Aotearoa New Zealand; 4. Enable collaborative skills and facilitate problem-solving through musical expression and creativity through practical music-making.
