About the course

The Graduate Diploma in Applied Science (Specialty) will provide an opportunity for students who have completed an undergraduate degree (particularly in a sport, physical activity, nutrition or other health or science field) or can demonstrate equivalent experience, to achieve a complementary applied qualification in an area of specialisation within Applied Science. This programme has been developed to meet market demand from graduates who wish to take advantage of the applied nature of programmes offered within Otago Institute of Sport and Adventure. These graduates are typically from a physical education, or nutrition background, have a strong theoretical base and wish to gain industry relevant experience through applied projects.

Entry requirements

The Minimum academic entry criteria are: An undergraduate degree, or Degree-equivalent practical, professional or scholarly experience of an appropriate kind

International students and students from non-English speaking backgrounds are also required to meet the minimum entry criteria for International Students - Overall band score (Academic) of 6.5 IELTS, with no individual score less than 6.5 Applicants who meet the entry criteria become eligible for selection.
