Part 102 OCA (Operational Competency Assessment)
Course details
About the course
Meet your annual Part 102 requirement with an Operational Competency Assessment (OCA) from DroneTrust. It's a focused refresher for pilots already flying, or about to fly, under an organisation's Part 102 UAOC, combining online theory with a practical flight assessment.
The theory revisits the core Part 101 rules, walks through your organisation's Part 102 exposition, and covers flight planning, NOTAMs and meteorology at a refresher pace. A practical flight assessment then confirms you're still current. Completing the OCA also resets your Part 102 certificate expiry to 2 years.
By the end of the course, you'll be able to:
- Apply Part 101 rules in a Part 102 operating context
- Work confidently within your organisation's Part 102 exposition
- Plan and document a flight, including checking NOTAMs and AIP supplements
- Apply advanced meteorology to operational flight planning
What's included:
- Online theory refresher
- One practical flight assessment with an approved examiner
Not flying under a UAOC? The OCA also works as a general refresher to keep your Part 102 knowledge current.
The theory refresher is fully online, so you can start any time and work at your own pace, then book your flight assessment with an examiner near you.
