Entry requirements
Academic entry
- Applicants must be a minimum of 16 years old to commence the programme.
- Applicants for the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Advanced Care and Support) (Level 4) must have completed the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3) OR equivalent prior study, OR experience in the health and wellbeing sectors.
English proficiency
- All international applicants and domestic applicants for whom English is an additional language and te reo Māori is not the first language evidence of meeting English language requirements according to Rule 22 of the NZQA Programme Approval and Accreditation Rules 2025 for a level 4 programme.
Academic entry
- 18 years and above.
- Completed NZ Certificate of Health & Wellbeing (Level 3) – Health Assistance Strand OR an equivalent overseas qualification as assessed OR significant experience.
English Language
- IELTS (Academic or General) of 5.5 overall with 5.0 in each band OR PTE (A) of 42 overall with 36 in each band OR equivalent of meeting Rule 22 of the NZQA Programme Approval and Accreditation Rules 2025.
Other:
- Succeed in a personal interview and police checks.
