About the course
Massey’s Postgraduate Diploma in Impact and Innovation equips you to navigate complexity and drive meaningful change across sectors, communities and environments. Designed for those ready to move beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries, this qualification develops your ability to think systemically, collaborate across diverse perspectives and respond creatively to real-world challenges.
Graduates leave with the confidence and capability to generate new knowledge, challenge assumptions and lead change in complex and contested environments. Whether working locally or globally, you will be prepared to design equitable and sustainable futures and make a tangible difference.
Shape your pathway
You'll build a strong foundation in transdisciplinary thinking, systems approaches and design-led problem framing, while engaging deeply with Indigenous knowledge and ethical ways of working.
You can specialise in Climate Futures, Future Food or Planetary Health with the addition of the Circular Economies specialisation in 2028. Alternatively, you can select courses from across these areas and study without a specialisation.

Where your qualification is completed within the stated time limit and to a high standard, you may be able to graduate with Distinction or Merit.
