Introduction to Barista Service

About the course

This FREE two-day introductory course gives you the opportunity to get behind an espresso machine and learn the fundamentals of barista work in a supportive, hands-on environment.

You'll discover how espresso machines operate, how to set them up and maintain them, and how to prepare quality espresso-based drinks. Guided by experienced tutors, you'll gain practical skills and insight into café operations—all without the pressure of assessments or exams.

No previous experience is required. Just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

This course is ideal if you:

Are looking for your first job or returning to the workforce Are interested in working in cafés or the hospitality industry Run, or are thinking about starting, a small business Want to build confidence before progressing to further hospitality training

Entry requirements

Open entry to learners 16 years and over who are not enrolled full-time as secondary school students for the duration of the course.
