About the course
Build the maths skills and confidence you need to take the next step into your study journey. This free bridging course is designed to help you move into higher-level courses, with a focus on pathways into engineering and the built environment (though not limited to these areas). It provides an entry opportunity if you do not meet the maths requirements for higher level study, including those who have not completed NCEA Level 2 maths or have not studied maths for some time. You'll build confidence and practical maths skills to help you feel prepared for further study. Students who complete the course report feeling more confident and ready to succeed in higher level education. Upon successfully completing the requirements you'll receive the award of: Maths for Tertiary Study

Entry criteria
Standard Entry Criteria
Admission, entry, selection, and enrolment into programmes will be in accordance with the Academic Regulations and/or, where approved, specific programme regulations.
English language requirements
Level 3 certificate IELTS General or Academic score of 5 with no band score lower than 5 or completed New Zealand Certificate in English Language Level 3 with an endorsement of either General, Workplace or Academic, or meets a relevant English Proficiency Outcome as outlined by NZQA.
