About the course

Learn how to take the everyday conversations and formalise them to engage more appropriately with your Pā Metua Pakari, and Orometua, through the use of Te Reo Māori Kuki Airani.

By the end of the programme you will be able to engage comfortably in more formal contexts within the family and church setting, community functions and workplace.

You will learn skills on how to MC events and acknowledge distinguished guests. This is the best place to start if you eventually want to explore Peu e te Akano’anga Māori Kuki Airani.

International students: English language entry requirements

For the minimum English language requirements refer to the requirements set out in the NZQF Programme and Accreditation Rules.

International students will generally be required to provide evidence of English language proficiency, for this programme an IELTS General or Academic score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5 is required. Equivalent acceptable evidence can be seen at the following NZQA link.
