About the course
Learn the most effective strategies to teach adults essential skills in literacy and numeracy.
This programme is for anyone who wants to work as a vocational or workplace educator and trainer and is essential for those working with foundation students at levels 1 and 2. You will learn how to tailor your teaching to suit the educational needs of your students.
With blended delivery you can study full-time or part-time so your study can fit around your work and life commitments.
Entry requirements
General
Applicants must be currently teaching or have regular access to tertiary teaching or vocational training environments.
Academic criteria
Applicants must hold a nationally recognised Level 4 qualification in any discipline or equivalent (if equivalent, applicants may be required to attend an interview to determine their suitability to study on this level 5 programme).
English language requirements
Applicants whose first language is not English may be required to provide evidence of IELTS (Academic) band score of 5.5 or no band lower than 5.
Safety checking
If working with learners under 18 years of age then applicants will need to meet the requirements of the Vulnerable Children’s Act through an attestation from their employer.
