Graduate Diploma in Business

About the course

If you’re keen to learn advanced business skills and knowledge at graduate level, this programme covers a range of subjects and offers specialisations including Business Information Systems and Management.

You’ll study organisation and management, business communication, leadership and project management. In addition, you’ll carry out an industry project, enabling you to get hands-on and apply your knowledge.

You’ll be able to plan and manage projects, display independent problem-solving skills and manage teams of diverse people. You’ll also understand business transformation processes and procedures within an organisation.

Courses in this programme

Students are required to gain 120 credits from the courses listed, with a minimum of 45 credits at Level 5 or 6 and a minimum of 75 credits at Level 7. If the Diploma is taken as a specialism (with an endorsement), the Diploma must contain at least 45 credits (of the required 75 credits) at Level 7 from the chosen specialist discipline.

Entry requirements

  • 3 year degree or equivalent qualification
  • Applications from industry who can demonstrate significant work and professional experience to enter advanced courses for the Graduate Diploma in Business will be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Applicants for whom English is not their first language require a minimum IELTS score of 6 with no band lower than 5.5, or NZCEL Level 4 (Academic).
