About the course
Students who gain this qualification will have the necessary skills and knowledge to make them work ready, to enter a plumbing and gasfitting apprenticeship, with the ability to use basic plumbing tools and carry out basic plumbing, gasfitting, welding, roofing and sheet metal work. Graduates will have acquired a range of literacy and numeracy skills equipping them for employment, or for continuing study.
NCEA Level 1 with a minimum of 12 credits in the literacy and 12 credits in the numeracy sub fields. IELTS: An overall band score of 5.5 preferably with a minimum reading and writing band score of 5.0 (Academic Courses)
