About the course
This qualification is suitable for people who are working in a primary industry business, either in a management or supervisory role, or are ready to advance into a management role.Course work and assignments require practical application to a primary industry business, therefore learners should be in a position to access financial, management, production, and performance information about a specific primary industry business, and to manage production factors of the business.By the end of the program, you'll be able to:Develop, implement, and review a business plan for primary industry business operations to meet performance requirementsPlan, implement and review financial requirements using current and emerging technology to inform primary industry business decision makingPlan, implement and review staff employment and work allocation, and apply interpersonal and leadership skills to monitor staff performance, health, safety, and well-being requirements in a primary industry businessPlan, implement and review the environmental sustainability requirements of a primary industry businessDetermine current business position and develop a strategic plan for the future direction of a primary industry business.Note: This qualification has now been unified as part of a national delivery for Te Pūkenga and so an updated version is offered from 2025.For new students to this programme of study:You will need to complete all eight courses (120 credits) – details in the ‘Course Content’ tab.
