About the course
Building on foundational skills, level 3 will launch a career in arboriculture off the ground by learning how to climb and undertake one-person aerial rescues. Learners will be able to identify trees and understand basic nomenclature, and be able to use a chipper and undertake groundsman duties, and learn basic felling techniques. Learners can complete this programme as the first year of the apprenticeship. This programme takes 12 months to complete and can be started anytime. There are 6 off-job tutorial days.

Learners must be employed in the sector.
