About the course
Learn all about safe work practices, the impacts of pest control and how to communicate and record information. There are two versions of this programme, Pest Animal and Pest Plant, and strands in Pest Control and Pest Monitoring. Depending on the strand and context of the programme, learners will achieve one of the following qualifications: If learners complete the Pest Control strand they will also learn how to prepare and use traps and toxins. The Pest Monitoring strand will teach them to prepare for and carry out transect and inspection based population monitoring. To achieve this qualification learners will also need to undertake some vehicle training.
