Our New Zealand Diploma in ECE (Home-based Care) is designed for all home-based educators wanting to exceed the standard requirements for home-based care settings in 2025.

This programme provides home-based care educators with a strong foundation in child well-being, early learning, and development in the bicultural context of Aotearoa New Zealand.

To transition the home-based early childhood workforce to becoming fully qualified in 2025 the government makes it possible for you to study and complete this level 5 diploma free of fees in 2025.

Enrolment into this programme requires students to be working or volunteering for a Home-based care provider to complete their field-based learning.
