Content:
This NZCEL Level 5 programme has a communicative focus with an integrated approach to developing academic language skills. Weekly thematic units guide the student to develop their knowledge in reading and understanding a range of authentic academic texts, listening to lectures and presentations, writing a variety of essays, participating in seminars and group discussions, preparing and giving presentations, improving study skills, critical thinking and extending their use of topic-specific academic vocabulary.   In this way, the students’ lexicon is built up progressively and incrementally.
