New Zealand Certificate in Commercial Road Transport (Heavy Vehicle Operator)

The purpose of this qualification is to provide the commercial road transport industry with people who have the skills and knowledge to safely and competently operate heavy rigid vehicles or heavy vehicle combinations.

This qualification is targeted at new or existing heavy vehicle drivers who wish to gain skills and knowledge beyond those required to be a licence holder. Learners will benefit by having a qualification that enables improved job performance and enhanced employment opportunities in the field of commercial road transport.

This qualification does not permit the holder to drive a motor vehicle on New Zealand roads without a current relevant driver licence issued by the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA).
