About the course

The purpose of this qualification is to:
- Provide competent employees for the catering services sector who are able to work as an experienced cook or caterer in hospitals, aged care facilities, sporting and entertainment venues, cook chill production kitchens and mobile catering businesses of various sizes.
- Provide for those individuals who are employed as experienced cooks or caterers, a credential that will enhance their employment opportunities across a range of establishments in the hospitality sector.
- Establish standards of professional practice for experienced caterers that can provide clients with confidence in a range of hospitality environments.
