About the course
Graduates will be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills required for employment in a supervised position in the Hairdressing industry.<br />Graduates will have the knowledge and skills to undertake elementary hair styling, and colouring in a Hairdressing Salon. They will have hairdressing product knowledge, and customer service; reception; and stock display skills.<br />Graduates will have the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue further study in the hairdressing or beauty field. They will be able to enter into Year 2 of a Hairdressing apprenticeship programme.<br />Graduates will have acquired a range of literacy and numeracy skills equipping them for employment, or for continuing study.
Minimum of 8 NCEA Level 1 credits in literacy, and 8 NCEA Level 1credits in numeracy or, ' Equivalent academic qualification ' IELTS score 5.5, or equivalent ' Special entry is available
