New Zealand Certificate in Hairdressing (Professional Stylist) (Level 4)

You'll be taught all the professional stylist skills needed to practice as a hairdresser. From fundamental and fashion cutting, to advanced long and short hair styling, chemical services, creative cutting and colouring.   You’ll learn at our on-site professional training salons and get to work with real clients. Great customer service skills are an essential part of this course. Gain experience in planning the best service to suit your client, learn how to analyse their hair and scalp and recommend hair care products for home. Graduate from this course with all the skills you’ll need to become a professional and confident hairdresser.

You will need to hold:

The New Zealand Certificate in Hairdressing (Salon Support) (Level 3), OR An equivalent qualification as approved by the Toi Ohomai hairdressing and beauty therapy department

Alternatively, you must be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and skills in salon support and services.
