About the course
Overview
*Subject to NZQA approval.
This course is essential for any person who is required to drive a forklift on the road and in the work place to meet occupational safety and health requirements.
NZTA approved training course providing the essential skills to gain a ‘F’ endorsement to drive on a road and approved OSH course for operating a Forklift in the work place.
Trainees who complete this course will have knowledge to:
- Understand the importance of safe operation of a forklift
- Perform forklift pre-operational inspections and start up procedures
- Perform practical forklift skills, including parking and shutting down a forklift.
The course is NZQA based and the following unit standards are attained:
18496: Demonstrate knowledge and skills for driving a forklift on a road for endorsement F (2 credits, Level 3)
10851: Operate a powered industrial lift truck forklift (7 credits, Level 3)
