Course details

Early Childhood Education Level 3
NZQF Level 3

About the course

Each child is different and each one learns at a different pace. If you love working with children, you know that teaching preschool requires a great deal of patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm. It also requires practical and engaging teaching styles that can stimulate young developing minds. It also takes creativity and great organisational skills to capture their attention span.

This programme will provide you essential knowledge and skills so that you can care for and educate infants, toddlers and children in an early childhood setting.

At the end of the course, you will have the necessary skills to work in an entry-level carer role in a myriad of early childhood and kōhanga contexts, such as centre-based, home-based, hospital-based, parent-led, or culturally-based environments. All different settings, but very important to our local communities.
