About the course
Who should attend Qualified officers without sufficient seatime to revalidate their watch-keeping certificate must complete this training. Harbourmasters, Marine Pilot, Lecturers, Surveyors, Holders of watch-keepers certificates not serving at sea. The training is for already qualified watch-keeping officers. Course highlights This course provides human element, leadership and management training and skills to all navigation officers at operational level (BRM) and meets the competence requirements as set out in STCW’78 Regulation II/1, Table A - II/1 (officer in charge of navigational watch). Successful completion of this course will enable the navigation officer to control the operation of the vessel and care for the persons on-board at operational level through effective leadership behaviours and clear, unambiguous communication. The officer will prioritise the necessary tasks and make effective decisions for the situation. Duration5 days 8am - 4pm
