About the course
Who should attend The course is designed specifically for seafarers who wish to gain more knowledge in their current maritime security field, or wish to move into maritime security as a Ship Security Officer (SSO). Course highlights Participants will be able to complete all duties required of a Ship Security Officer on commercial ships in complex non-routine situations as a member of a team and in sole charge. The course meets the requirements of STCW Section A-VI/5 and SOLAS Chapter XI - 2, the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) code. This course includes: Introduction to International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS) Roles of Company Security Officer (CSO) and Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) Security requirements and security administration including drills, exercises and protection Crowd management techniques Emergency preparedness. DurationTwo days 8am - 4pm
